Gen 1 was great guys but if you can seriously look me in the eyes and say there were no technological issues with it and the new games are not improvements you’re a flat out, nostalgic, crying baby who needs to stop.
Oh, and don’t forget
- If the box you currently had open in the PC was full, you weren’t allowed to catch anything.
- Pokeballs can miss, more often for Pokemon with a low catch rate.
- Psychic Pokemon were only weak to Bug. The only Bug-type moves that did damage were Pin Missile, Leech Life, and Twineedle (which was exclusive to Beedrill). Their power levels were 14, 20, and 25, respectively. Good luck taking down an Alakazam or a Mewtwo with that,
Always relevant when a new gen is announced
Mechanically, yeah it was pretty shit, but at least the designs had some cohesiveness to them and weren’t… well let me put it this way, I’ve taken to calling the newer generations of pokemon “digimon”.
